Looks like a patent by Xiaomi might have been spotted recently, hinting that they could be working on a Xiaomi phone that’s equipped with an under-display flip camera. While not much is known in regards to the exact release date of the smartphone in question, it does give us a better idea of what to expect from Xiaomi in the future.

Based on a statement by gizmochina.com, it seems that China will most likely be spearheading the development of 6G network as the country currently holds more patents compared to the US. But that’s not all, additional reports also state that Apple, as well as Samsung, are also ramping up the development of 6G network as well.

On Wednesday, Xiaomi Malaysia announced that it would be hosting an online event to launch new products in Malaysia. At least three products were confirmed at the time, including the Xiaomi Mi 11i. Unfortunately, that has changed since then.

It seems that Redmi’s product manager might have confirmed that Xiaomi had no plans to release a Redmi smartphone that’s equipped with an LCD display. That said, all of the smartphones released under the Redmi lineup will come equipped with an OLED display instead.

Yesterday, it was reported that Xiaomi could be working on a premium tablet to rival Apple's iPad Pro. But that's not the only tablet the company is working on. Based on various speculations, there could be up to four Xiaomi tablets with Snapdragon chipsets this year.

A few months later, Xiaomi is finally going to announce MIUI 13 on 25 June as the next version of the user interface. According to sources, the company mentioned that the latest interface will be more stable, faster, and more features.

Xiaomi users have been complaining about MIUI takes up the RAM of the devices. For that, the company might be offering a fix soon by utilizing virtual expansion. It is said that Xiaomi devices' RAM could be expanded using internal storage when it reaches its limit in the future. 

It looks like the trend of making your own custom chipset is going to get bigger. After Apple released the M1 chip, many have praised the performance it brings to the new MacBooks. The success might have inspired a few others to give in-house SoC a try as well. Besides Google's rumoured in-house "Whitechapel" SoC for the upcoming Pixel 6 series, Xiaomi and Samsung are said to be teaming up to develop one that utilizes ARM's Cortex X2 and Mali GPU.

It seems that a Digital Chat Station recently posted on the user’s weibo account, hinting that the upcoming Xiaomi flagship smartphone could come equipped with a 200MP main camera. While not much is known in regards to the exact smartphone model of the upcoming phone, we do know that it will most likely be using Samsung’s 200MP GN2 image sensor which was teased on Samsung’s official Twitter account.

Based on a statement by Digital Chat Station on weibo, it seems that there will be 2 Xiaomi smartphones that will come equipped with an under-display camera. Not only that, but the statement also mentioned that these smartphones are expected to be unveiled somewhere around H2 2021.
