Now that Xiaomi has confirmed that it will be bringing in its Smart TVs to Malaysia, many of us are excited to see what could be available. We're not sure when the new TVs will arrive on our shores, but that doesn't stop us from speculating. On our part, we're hoping that Xiaomi's upcoming 65-inch Smart TV will be one of the models coming here, as it has been confirmed to be Dolby Vision certified.

According to Li Xiaoshuang, who is general manager for Xiaomi's TV home appliance division, the 65-inch Xiaomi L65M5-OD Smart TV has received now has Dolby Vision certification. For those who may be unaware, Dolby Vision is a 4K high dynamic range (HDR) video format. With this video format, you can expect greater colour depth and brightness levels.

The aforementioned model should be a successor to the Xiaomi TV 5 Pro that was launched late last year. That 4K TV series supported HDR10+ and Dolby sound but had no Dolby Vision, so the new model would be a direct upgrade in that sense. It's also suggested that the new model will be an OLED TV, which should put it on the pricier side.

Besides the above, we don't know much else. But you can probably expect more details to surface in the coming months, so look forward to that. Having said that, what do you think about HDR10+ versus Dolby Vision? Are the differences significant for you? Let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news.
