Xiaomi just released another Redmi 5 variant in China and it comes with a 4GB set. Initially, there is only the 2GB and 3GB model but it seems that the company has complied with the market demands because let's be honest - 2GB is so yesterday.
According to sources, the 4GB + 32GB Redmi 5 model cost 1099 Yuan (~RM672) and comparing it with the 3GB + 32GB model which is slated at 899 Yuan (~RM555), it's pretty much worth getting the extra RAM power. Besides that, the rest of the tech-specs remains the same, as it includes Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset with 1.8 GHz octa-core processor, an Adreno 506 GPU, 5.7-inch HD+ display in 720p, a 12MP camera sensor behind, a front 5MP camera, MIUI9 out of the box, 3300 mAh battery and it has an expandable memory available.
While there's still no word on Xiaomi Malaysia bringing in the Redmi 5 into Malaysia, we think the model should prove popular here and they should definitely import it since we know you all love reasonable budget phones. We shall see, stay tuned for more Xiaomi news at TechNave.com.
