ASUS had lots to show at CES this year, including the sleek convertible ROG Flow 13 gaming laptop. But not everything was unveiled at the event, as the Taiwanese company unexpectedly launched a new gaming laptop in China.

Dubbed the "Sky Selection 2" (direct translation), this is a 15-inch gaming laptop that comes with the latest hardware. Specifically, it comes with the AMD Ryzen 7 5800H CPU, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU, and 16GB of RAM. It's expected to be available in China later tonight via JD.com for 9299 yuan (~RM5803), a decent price for a gaming laptop.

Its biggest feature is the 15.6-inch 1080p IPS display, which has a 240Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB colour gamut. The bezels are really thin too, making the display more immersive thanks to the high screen-to-body ratio. However, the laptop is on the heavier side with a weight of 4.05kg. Overall, this is a no-frills model that looks pretty good.

Unfortunately, this model is probably exclusive to China. The global model would be the TUF Gaming series that launched recently, but it doesn't have that silver-green colour option (dang!) Having said that, would you be interested in getting a new gaming laptop? Let us know what kind of specs you'd go for in the comments and stay tuned to TechNave for more news.
