Right after the announcement of the ROG Strix SCAR and Zephyrus series, ASUS revealed the 2024 edition of the TUF Gaming F16 and TUF Gaming A16 laptop lineup. The TUF Gaming A15 has also returned and this is what you need to know about the new gaming laptops.
All three 2024 TUF Gaming laptops are built with high-performance chips from Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA. Starting with the TUF Gaming F16, it's available with an Intel Core i7 processor 13650HX with 14 cores and 20 threads, as well as ultrafast DDR5-4800MHz RAM and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU with NVIDIA Advanced Optimus. AMD fans can also configure their own TUF Gaming A16, with up to an AMD Ryzen 9 7845HX paired with DDR5-5200MHz RAM. It also features up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU with NVIDIA Advanced Optimus.
The TUF Gaming A15 has also been refreshed with up to an AMD Ryzen 8000 series processors alongside DDR5-5600MHz RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40-Series Laptop GPU with NVIDIA Advanced Optimus. In fact, all three machines are upgradeable, with two memory and storage slots available for expansion. The new TUF F16 and A16 are also tested to the new 2024 Military MIL-STD-810H standards for durability.
As the names suggest, the TUF Gaming A16 and F16 feature a redesigned chassis, with new 16-inch IPS displays, a 16:10 aspect ratio display and thin bezels that make for a 90% screen-to-body ratio. The TUF Gaming A15 retains its slimmer 16:9 display, while all machines sport a resolution of 2.5K and a refresh rate of 165Hz.
The TUF Gaming A16 and F16 also feature USB-C PD charging alongside a 90Wh battery. The keyboard has a deep travel distance of 1.7mm and in terms of I/O ports, the TUF Gaming F16 features Thunderbolt 4, while the TUF A16 and the TUF Gaming A15 provide USB 3.0 Type-C and Type-C USB 4, respectively. G-SYNC, Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support are integrated too.
According to ASUS Malaysia, selected models from the new 2024 ASUS TUF Gaming laptop series will tentatively be launched in Malaysia this 19 January 2023. We expect the models to come in both Jaeger Gray and Mecha Gray. Stay tuned and mark your calendars!
