ASUS ZenFone 7 series model spotted on Geekbench with SD865+ chipset

After launching the ROG Phone 3, ASUS is going to be back with another highly-anticipated smartphone which is the ZenFone 7 on 26 August. This time, the ZenFone 7 will not be the only device that is going to be launched, as it will bring another Pro variant with it as well. Today, a model from the series was found on Geekbench listing before the launch confirming a rumour that came out earlier.

A model number ASUS_I002D was spotted with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chipset and 8GB of RAM on the platform. Although not much has been confirmed, it is still believed to be the ZenFone 7 Pro. Earlier, rumours have appeared saying that the ZenFone 7 and the Pro variant will have two different chipsets, with the Snapdragon 865 on ZenFone 7 and Snapdragon 865+ on the ZenFone 7 Pro.

Besides the chipset, it was reported that the series will also bring WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, 5,000mAh battery, and 30W fast charging. Camera-wise, it is said to maintain the iconic flip camera module like the one on ASUS ZenFone 6. Other than the information given, we still have to wait until 26 August to know it all.
