ASUS collaborates with Tencent for ROG Phone 3, expected to launch in July 2020

When it comes to smartphones, gaming phones are easily the most good looking ones these days. For fans of ASUS, the highly anticipated ROG Phone 3 couldn't come sooner. The good news is that you might not have to wait much longer because ASUS has confirmed the launch window for the device.

According to a Weibo post, ASUS has once again collaborated with Tencent Games for the ROG Phone 3. Tencent Games was responsible for helping ASUS to optimise the performance of the hardware of the device to deliver a better gaming experience. The post then goes on to say that the launch will be coming soon. Based on the posted image, we know that the device will be launched in July 2020 in China, though the exact date was not revealed.

Speaking of optimising hardware, the ROG Phone 3 is expected to launch with a Snapdragon 865+ chipset, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of internal storage. Besides that, it'll have a 6.59-inch display with 144Hz, a large 6000mAh battery, and 30W fast-charging. Also, a hands-on video for the device was recently released, along with a rumour that it would weigh 240g, which would make it quite a hefty device.

With the presence ASUS has in Southeast Asia, we can hope that the ROG Phone 3 will soon arrive in Malaysia after the launch in China.
