As CES 2022 kicks off, Acer has already revealed three new Chromebooks and a special Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition. On top of that, there's also yet another new Swift X (SFX14-51G) version with some upgraded tech specs. Read on below if you want to find out more.

As usual, the Swift X is still quite compact weighing at just 1.4kg and comes in two size variants - a 14-inch model and a new 16-inch model. You can also expect it to pack new specs with up to a 12th Gen Intel Core processor with up to 12 cores and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU. As for the latter, the 16-inch model (SFX16-52G) features 12th Gen Intel Core processors with up to 12 cores and discrete Intel Arc graphics.

Design-wise, the Swift X still looks the same but as the saying goes - don't judge a book by its cover. Acer integrated a fan, air inlet keyboard and dual heat pipes for the standard model whereas the 16-inch model got a pair of dual fans, dual copper heat pipes, an air inlet keyboard, and a bigger side exhaust port. Yup, all this inside the 17.9mm thin chassis.

Furthermore, you can find a 16:10 aspect-ratio IPS screen—2240x1400 for the 14-inch model and up to 2560x1600 (WQXGA) for the 16-inch model with narrow bezels, allowing for up to a 92.22% screen-to-body ratio. The displays are combined with 100% coverage of the sRGB colour gamut and up to 400 nits of brightness as well.

Finally, the Swift X has up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 memory and 2 TB of PCIe SSD storage. Intel WiFi 6E (802.11ax) is on board too and you can also find the laptops’ I/O includes two Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 (up to 40GBs) support, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and HDMI 2.0 port.

Acer Malaysia hasn't confirmed if the latest Swift X variation is coming to Malaysia but we think there's a good chance since we did a review on the predecessor last year. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
