Apple would be announcing a subscription based event on the 25th of March, possibly launching a brand new app or service for their ecosystem. However, rumours have been going around that Apple may be announcing some products as well and the Apple Airpods 2 might be one of them.

A few sources have confirmed this rumour and to make it more interesting, the meme-worthy wireless earphones may just be released on the 29th of March, a mere few days after. Some suppliers shared with PhoneArena.com a screenshot showing off the final production date of the current Apple Airpods, which is on the 28th of March, just a day before the Apple Airpods 2 is allegedly released.

We may be facing two scenarios. Apple only announcing a new case for the Apple Airpods that will be shipped alongside the current-gen Airpods thus making it a new product altogether OR Apple actually committing and releasing the brand new Airpods 2 (we’re hoping it's the latter).

What we do know so far about the Apple Airpods 2 is that it may come in multiple colours, have better audio quality, water resistance, and a coating which makes it less slippery. Either way, we’re pretty much hyped for the new wireless earphones and we can’t wait to put it on and say “Smells like broke in here” when we do. What are you expecting from the Apple Airpods 2?
