HUAWEI's in-house operating system HarmonyOS is making its way to more devices from the company. Earlier, it was reported that the rollout of the stable version for smartphones is expected to happen in June. Other than that, a list of upgradable devices has also been leaked. With such progress, everyone might think that the Chinese tech giant will ditch Android OS completely in the future. Now, the latest source is claiming that it will happen.

According to reputable tipster Digital Chat Station from Weibo, HUAWEI's new smartphones would come pre-installed with the in-house OS. Besides that, the tipster also mentioned that HONOR's new smartphones would run MagicUI 5.0 based on Android 11 as the testing of HarmonyOS conducted on some HONOR devices brought bad results in terms of compatibility.

Since HUAWEI's new smartphones are said to be pre-installed with HarmonyOS, the upcoming P50 and Mate 50 series are no doubt getting it. However, there could be one device that would be the first to get the OS before the latest flagships which is the Mate 40 Pro 4G. It is said as the device was spotted on TENAA certification earlier with its operating system listed as “Harmony OS”.
