Nvidia has taken a big lead in the GPU race this year with the announcement of its GeForce RTX 3080 and 3090 cards. That's why fans of team red must have been relieved to see AMD announce that its RDNA2 GPUs would be unveiled in late October. Now, a new leaked benchmark could provide us with an idea of how well one of AMD's new GPUs could perform.
According to Wccftech, a certain Radeon RX 6000 series cards was benchmarked and its result leaked. The alleged card was benchmarked on Ashes of the Singularity and scored 6200 points and got an average of 63.9 fps on the 'Crazy' graphics preset. That puts it on par with a stock version of the RTX 2080 Ti. It does lose to overclocked versions of the same card, but the RDNA2 card could also be using factory settings and might still have room to perform better.

Both Navi21 & Navi22 are coming
Both of them are "bigger" than Navi10
There is not only one "Big Navi"
Navi22 SKUs should compete with 3060Ti/3070/3070Ti
Navi21 SKUs should compete with 3080 and up https://t.co/OBHJr74AXk
Besides that, we have no idea which SKU is being benchmarked here. Is this the best card RDNA2 card AMD has to offer or does the company have something better waiting in the wings? @rogame claims it's the latter, that there would be Navi21 SKUs capable of competing with the RTX 3080 onwards. Considering that the RTX 3070 is expected to perform around the level of the RTX 2080 Ti, that would make the AMD GPU that was benchmarked an RTX 3070 equivalent.
Of course, we're making a lot of conjectures here based on unconfirmed info, so do take the news with a grain of salt. But which RDNA2 SKU do you think this is? Will AMD be able to compete with Nvidia on even footing this time? Share your thoughts with us in the comment below and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates on the next-gen GPUs.
