If you recall, there were rumours that the Apple iPhone 14 series would feature a pill-shaped cutout instead of a notch. Some sources also claim that there would be a punch-hole for the camera. But what if both are true? At least, that's what some sources believe.

A leak on Weibo shows what's allegedly a schematic of the front for the iPhone 14. As you can see, it has both a pill-shaped cutout and a punch-hole. If you ask us, it sort of looks like a horizontal exclamation mark. Jon Prosser also claimed to have inside sources who confirmed that this schematic is legit. In other words, the design and size of these cutouts are likely to be accurate.

The cutouts are larger than most expected...

Interestingly, this new design might not be applied to all iPhone 14 series models. According to Ross Young, this new design will be on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. However, all four models for next year's iPhone 15 series will feature this design. Note that Apple analyst Kuo Ming-Chi previously claimed that iPhones in 2023 would feature an under-display camera for Face ID instead.

While these leaks are from well-known sources with decent track records, there's no guarantee that they're 100% accurate. As such, take them with a grain of salt.
