When we were sleeping throughout the night in Malaysia, Apple officially announced the date for its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024 this year. As usual, it's held around the middle of the year and it's 10 June 2024.

The WWDC24 will go on for four more days until 14, 2024, when developers and students come together at Apple Park to learn coding and the latest news on Apple's software. This includes iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS. Developers and students will also have classes with Apple experts on new tools, frameworks and features.

As previously reported, many sources are saying Apple AI or generative AI will be a huge part of iOS 18 for the next-gen iPhone this year. Apple CEO Tim Cook has kept a tight lip on the functions but simply said it can "unlock transformative opportunities" for users. Rumours have it that Apple could partner with Google to implement Gemini AI and with this, the iPhone 16 could feature bigger RAM and storage just to complement AI.

On the other hand, the Swift Student Challenge will also be present at the WWDC24 as always. Interested participants can also experience the event throughout the week on the Apple Developer appApple Developer website, and YouTube. Apple will share additional conference information in advance of WWDC24 through the Apple Developer app and website here.
