Apple’s introduction of the new “Plus” model for its iPhone lineup earlier this year has been rather disappointing, with the iPhone 14 Plus recording lacklustre sales and demand. Now, an alleged leak has claimed that the company is “seriously” concerned about the model’s prospects and will reevaluate its strategy for next year’s iPhone 15 series.

According to tipster yeux1122 on Naver, the below-par sales figure of the iPhone 14 Plus is causing Apple to consider how it treats the Pro and non-Pro variants of the iPhone 15 series. The tipster further elaborated that the tech giant is considering either reducing the price of the Plus model or to further differentiating the Pro and non-Pro models of the iPhone series.

While this is still mere speculation as nothing is confirmed just yet, Apple has in the past drastically changed its iPhone series lineup due to subpar demand. These include discontinuing the “Mini” models just after two iterations due to the below-than-expected sales volumes of the iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 13 Mini.
