Foldable phones are trending again. 2023 has seen several foldable phones introduced by Google, OnePlus, OPPO, Motorola, Xiaomi and Samsung. What about Nothing? Will the company release foldable phones? You might want to hear what the CEO of Nothing has to say.

In a recent interview with IndiaToday, Nothing CEO Carl Pei said that foldable phones are niche products. Despite the rumours of a Nothing foldable phone, the company is currently not interested in launching them. According to Pei:

“It’s good that some people are building it, but if you look at how the foldables are evolving, they are all the same again” If you don’t see the logo anymore, you hide the logo on the foldables, I don’t think a consumer can really tell them apart.”

He also added that the company is in no rush to make them, citing:

“Not anytime soon, I don’t think consumers walk around saying, hey, I wish my phone could fold. I think it’s an innovation that the manufacturers are pushing onto the consumer.”

There you go, the man himself said that there will be no foldable phones from Nothing. However, fans of technology can be very demanding. Who knows? The company might change its stance and release one too! After all, it is not uncommon for companies to make a U-turn on their decisions.
