Discord adds new Clubhouse-like feature called Stage Channels

How many companies are going to imitate Clubhouse's voice chat rooms? The answer is probably "a lot". Ever since the app became popular, we've seen companies like Facebook, Twitter, and Xiaomi all copying the concept. But they won't be the last, as more companies are set to follow suit.

In fact, Discord is the next to jump on the bandwagon with its new Stage Channels. As you may expect, this is a feature similar to Clubhouse's voice broadcasts channels. Discord has promised better server controls, including assigning moderators. Each Stage Channel will be pinned to the top of a server's list of voice channels, so it's easy for server members to find.

Of course, this may be an elaborate April Fool's joke. But if you consider the very professional-looking FAQ page, that's probably not the case. The FAQ page also provides in-depth details on how the feature works, as well as what the moderators, audience, and server owners can do.

With that said, have you gotten the update on your Discord app yet? Let us know if the feature is real and how it works in the comments below! Also, stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
