Smartphones have reached a point where major improvements are hard to come by, which is why we're seeing companies experimenting with new designs and form factors. In particular, foldable devices are all the rage and Samsung could have as many as three in the pipeline for 2021.

According to The Elec, OLED research firm UBI Research claimed that Samsung is preparing three types of foldable OLED panels. This is believed to be solid proof that the company is going to launch at least three foldable devices next year. It's speculated that the three devices would be the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 2 (or possibly Z Flip 3), and the Galaxy Z Fold Lite. There are already some rumours for the Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 2, so two new foldable devices is the minimum.

In terms of specs, the Z Fold 3's is expected to have an estimated 7-inch main screen, as well as a 4-inch secondary display. If that's true, that would mean that the Z Fold 3 would be a smaller device than its predecessor. The Z Fold Lite's displays are expected to be about the same sizes, while the Z Flip 2 will maintain a 6.7-inch main screen but come with a larger 3-inch secondary screen.

Considering that the source is a research firm, this news should be quite credible. At least, the fact that Samsung is preparing three types of foldable OLED panels should be true. For us, the Galaxy Z Fold Lite is potentially the more interesting device. But what do you think? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
