Besides launching the P60 series, Mate X3 and MatePad 11 2023, HUAWEI also launched a new flagship wearable with a premium design and exclusive features. Called the HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate, read on to find out more about the smartwatch.

First up, the WATCH Ultimate is a tier above the GT 3 Pro and is a competitor to the Apple Watch Ultra. However, unlike the latter, the WATCH Ultimate sports a traditional circular design and doesn’t look out of place with other branded watches out there.

It sports a circular 1.5-inch LTPO ALOMED panel that can vary the refresh rate from 1 to 60Hz. Moreover, the panel is protected by sapphire glass.

In terms of build quality, the WATCH Ultimate is the world’s first smartwatch equipped with ultra-strong amorphous zirconium alloy. Its body supports 16 water-resistant structures, making the smartwatch capable of withstanding extreme deep-sea pressure.

Specifically, the WATCH Ultimate has the ISO 22810 water resistance standard and EN13319 device equipment standard tests. This ensures 24-hour 110-meter depth submersion or 10 ATM.

Besides that, the smartwatch also supports a more capable Beidou satellite message capability found on the Mate 50 series. With it, the WATCH Ultimate is the world's first popular smartwatch to support two-way Beidou satellite messages, making it easier to send distress messages in areas without a cellular network.

Other notable specs include ECG measurements, heart rate and blood oxygen sensors, IP68 water resistance, dual-frequency five-system GNSS positioning and colour options of either Expedition Black or Voyage Blue.

In China, the WATCH Ultimate is priced at CNY5999 or ~RM3881 and CNY6999 or ~RM4528 for the higher-end variant. It will first go on sale in China on 30 March 2023 and will be available in the UK and EU starting 3 April 2023.
