After a long wait, it looks like Huawei’s own upgraded version of the app store is finally going to be here. Since the trade war happened, the latest generations of smartphones from the company have been using AppGallery for users to download their favourite apps. Although it’s good enough to replace Google Play Store, the company still thinks that improvements can be made to bring a better experience. Therefore, Huawei has announced that they will launch a new version of their OS very soon, which is EMUI 10.1.

EMUI 10.1 will be introducing a new way to download apps, AppSearch, to make downloading apps easier and simpler using Huawei devices. Not like AppGallery, AppSearch offers the feature which users can directly search in the platform to get apps from various sources, instead of not getting any results for some apps while using AppGallery.

However, it’s worth mentioning that these apps are not the APKs from Huawei yet. AppSearch will still be sourcing from platforms like Amazon AppStore, APKPure and apkmonk. Not only is the EMUI 10.1 coming to us soon, but the Huawei P40 series will also be launched on the same day on 26 March 2020! Let us keep calm and see how Huawei is going to wow us this time!
