Huawei can still use ARM's technologies to manufacture HiSilicon chipsets

Based on a statement by Gizmochina, Huawei can still use ARM’s v8-A as well as their V9 architectures due to the fact that both of them were developed in the United Kingdom. With that said, Huawei can utilize these architectures by ARM to manufacture HiSilicon chipsets such as the Kirin 990, Kirin 980 and more that are used by smartphones like the Huawei Mate 30 series, Mate X and the P30 series.

This is good news for Huawei, due to the fact that there is a trade ban going on between the United States and China. With that said, even if the trade ban is still in effect, it seems that Huawei still managed to continue growing with up to 27% increase in revenue with expectations to ship up to 270 million smartphones by end of this year.
