Just a few days ago, it was rumoured that Huawei could have turned to Beijing Oriental Electronics (BOE) for OLED displays. The company will be using OLED technology for its upcoming Mate 40 series, but there could be more. Allegedly, a demo unit with a flexible display was spotted recently.

According to Digital Chat Station, BOE unveiled a demo device that featured a flexible display. This device is an engineering unit that included an under-display camera that supports 3D face unlocking. He also mentioned that the UI for the camera is similar to Huawei's EMUI, which suggests that this could be an upcoming Huawei device that's supposed to have a flexible display.

If that is true, this could be a successor to the Mate X that was launched last year. Earlier this month, a new patent for a "Huawei Mate V" was spotted and the design showed a device that folds inwards. We're not sure if the new leak and this patent refer to the same device, but the possibility is there.

Since this is still in the realm of speculation, do take what we've said with a grain of salt. Having said that, would you be interested in a foldable like this? Do let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for further updates on this.
