In case you didn't know, the Huawei nova 12 series is expected to launch on 26 December 2023. The previous report claimed there would be four models, with the standard Huawei nova 12 believed to sport a Snapdragon 778G 4G chipset. But what about the other variants, like the Huawei nova 12 Pro?

According to @faridofanani96, the Huawei nova 12 Pro was spotted with the Kirin 8000 chipset instead of the Kirin 9000s chipset. In fact, this could be the Kirin chip reported in October 2023. It was rumoured that this chipset series would launch with the Huawei nova 12 series, so the news checks out.

Currently, details of the phone and chipset are unknown. But the leaked photo does show that the device runs on the now over 2-year-old Android 12 (perhaps because it's an engineering unit), features an OLED display with a 2776x1224 resolution, and has 12GB of LPDDR4 RAM. Secondly, you can see that the phone has two front cameras in a long pill-shaped cut-out. Lastly, we can expect the Kirin 8000 to be a 7nm mid-range chipset. But it hasn't been confirmed if 5G connectivity would be available.

Mind you, these are the specs for the Huawei nova 12 Pro in China. It's entirely possible the Malaysian version would have different specs. Regardless, would you be interested in the phone? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates.
