If Apple had a foldable smartphone, this is how it might look like

The foldable smartphone trend doesn’t seem to be stopping. Apple has now been rumoured to have hopped on the foldable smartphone bandwagon with their very own device dubbed the iPhone X Fold.

While we have no clue what the device might look like, Roy Gilsing, a Dutch industrial engineer, has created a concept of the device. The device imagined by him looks somewhat similar to the Samsung Galaxy Fold (the name sounds similar as well, to be honest). When the device is opened, it takes on the look of an iPad.

However, that’s where the similarities in design ends between the Samsung Galaxy Fold and Gilsing’s concept of the device. The Apple foldable phone can be folded part-way, turning it into a mini laptop if the user wished.

Personally, I’d rather see the device named iPad Fold instead of iPhone X Fold. Imagine having your very own foldable iPad Pro. That would make our productivity just skyrocket, in my opinion! Apple does have a few designs in mind for their very own foldable phones so we may not see this design at all when they unveil their device so take this concept render with a grain of salt.

Honestly, Apple better step up their game if they are planning on jumping into the foldable smartphone bandwagon as other manufacturers such as Samsung, HuaweiXiaomi and more have shown off some pretty cool devices.
