Earlier this year, Lenovo announced that two new Legion Go series handheld devices would be launched in 2025. The Legion Go S was launched in May, while the Legion Go 2 hasn't been confirmed. However, sources now claim the device could debut at IFA 2025.

Possible 5 September 2025 launch

According to Evan Blass, Lenovo will showcase a variety of new products at IFA 2025, including the second-generation Legion Go. This Legion Go 2 can be considered a Windows version of the Lenovo Legion Go S released in May. Lenovo's IFA 2025 booth is also expected to showcase new Motorola smartphones, Lenovo laptops, and Lenovo tablets.

Some tech specs confirmed

Although it's said the Legion Go 2 is a Windows version of the Legion Go S, that doesn't mean the hardware inside is all the same. The Legion Go 2 is expected to be more powerful, thanks to an AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor and AMD's Radeon RDNA 3.5-based Radeon 890M GPU. It also has a slightly larger 8.8-inch OLED display with a faster 144Hz refresh rate, 32GB of RAM, and 2TB of storage.

In addition, the Legion Go 2 will have a notably larger 74Wh battery. Supporting that is the 65W fast charging, which can help you continue gaming for longer hours. It's also reported that Lenovo has improved the rear button's layout and added a fingerprint reader to the device. Moreover, the controllers on the side remain detachable.

Lenovo has not confirmed the official price or release date of the Legion Go 2 yet. However, the company could reveal both at the IFA 2025 held from 5 to 9 September 2025. We'll keep an eye out for the official announcement, so stay tuned to TechNave for more updates.
