ASUS has officially announced their ASUS ZenFone 5 (ZE620KL), ZenFone 5Z (ZS620KL) and ZenFone 5 Lite (ZC600L) and nearly all of the leaks are true including the notched Fullview display. In a move to get back to their roots with their #backto5 initiative, ASUS will offer high-end features at lower-end prices with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor + 4GB RAM + 64GB storage packing ZenFone 5Z starting from 479€ (~RM2291). Both the ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 5Z are actually sharing the same design, but one major difference is the processor - the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 has made its way to the ZenFone 5Z and its RAM power goes up to 8GB. Also, thanks to the top notch, both phones have achieved a new screen-to-body aspect ratio of 19:9 as well as having A.I. Boost which allow the ZenFone 5Z to perform over its limit. Besides that, ASUS has stepped up its game entering the A.I. age, as they have taken advantage and utilize it in a few areas such as photography, user interface control and more.

In addition, the new ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 5Z is packing a second-gen dual Smart Amp powered dual speakers, this means that it offers a Hi-Res Audio + stereo surround sound now with a Piezoelectric top speaker and a voice coil bottom speaker. It's also nice to know that the 4G LTE connectivity supports two nano SIM cards regardless.

Last but not least, it seems that there will be two ZenFone 5 Lite variants based on two different Snapdragon processors. Not all the specifications were shown but we will be updating them when we get our hands on the data. The ZenFone 5 Lite is also ASUS' first quad-camera phone and it focuses heavily as a selfie device, making use of the ultra-wide angle up to 120-degrees for the secondary camera. This also allows the device to take portrait mode now, with the secondary camera blurring out the background, while the primary camera takes the shot. Also, according to an insider, the ZenFone 5 Lite may also be released as the ZenFone 5Q, ZenFone 5 Selfie and ZenFone 5 Selfie Pro depending on different markets with different processors.

While there is no price revealed for the ZenFone 5 and 5 Lite yet, the launching date for each phone was shown at the event and we will be getting the lite model first, followed by the ZenFone 5 then the ZenFone 5Z as the final one.
