Maxis has decided to give its customers some extra value during the movement control order (MCO). The telco company announced that all Malaysians will get to access selected news sites for free during this time. Now, it's also giving all its customers some extra data to use while being stuck at home.
Maxis has confirmed that there will be 3GB of data given out to all Maxis, Hotlink Flex, and Maxis Business postpaid users. They will also get to access useful communication software like Skype, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams for free. What strikes us as odd is the decision for this to be implemented on 27 March 2020. Unless the government decides to extend the MCO, this means that the offer will come when the restrictions are just four days from being lifted.
As for Hotlink prepaid users, you can get a total of 20GB of data for every HotlinkMU purchase. Also, you can enjoy 30% of cashback credits if you reload your prepaid account online. Moreover, you can redeem free internet usage via the Hotlink RED app during this period. Other offers include free six months of Maxis Managed UC phone system package and free two months of VoiceConnect App usage for businesses. Lastly, there will be free access to the eKelas education portal as well.
Of course, Maxis isn't the only one doing something like this during the MCO. U Mobile, unifi, and Digi all have different offers for Malaysian customers. Have you been able to enjoy any of the offers yet? Let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news.
