Earlier this week, it was confirmed that the Redmi gaming phone would be the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition. It's expected to launch on 27 April 2021, and some details are already known. But if you ask me, the latest teaser for the phone mentions the most interesting feature.

A while back, it was rumoured that the Redmi gaming phone would come with shoulder buttons. Redmi has now confirmed this to be true in a new teaser video, which shows off how the component works. As you can see, these are physical buttons that pop up by using the adjacent toggles. You can also tell that the phone has a metallic frame, so it should be quite well built.

Anyway, the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition is expected to pack a Dimensity 1200 chipset. Not only has that been officially confirmed but we also know that it scored 724495 points on the AnTuTu benchmark. The phone will also come with a 5000mAh battery, 67W fast-charging, and would support a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. To keep the phone cool, Redmi is equipping the phone with a liquid vapour chamber and a large graphene sheet for greater heat dissipation.

Overall, it sounds like Redmi is going all out to make this phone an amazing one. Hopefully, we can get to try the phone first-hand and see how it performs! Until then, stay tuned to TechNave for further updates about it.
