How are y'all doing? This week is Marvel's Avengers Endgame week and the whole world is going crazy about it. In conjunction with the most anticipated movie release of the year, OPPO has collaborated with Marvel to make an awesome OPPO F11 Pro Marvel's Avenger Limited Edition! There isn't much different from the standard F11 Pro, except that it has a 128GB storage and for just RM1399, it's a deal breaker.
While there isn't really much tech gadget news to go around, U Mobile recently announced about their new Money-Back-Guarantee 7-Day Trial which is nice for new users to try out their Unlimited HERO P99 for free. There's also an unfortunate Samsung Galaxy Fold screen blooper, which we think we won't be seeing it anytime soon this year. Hopefully, it won't be another disaster like the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7.
Anyway, onto this week's NewsBytes!

30 Celcom customers had a fun time with Kamal Adli
Also at another place, 30 Celcom customers (who were also the first owners of the OPPO F11 Pro) had the opportunity of a lifetime to personally meet and hang out with Malaysian actor, Kamal Adli.
The event took place at Galactic Laser, Sunway Pyramid, where the customers were able to enjoy a three-round laser tag game together with Kamal Adli and his team. As most of the winners had never played laser tag before, so they probably had a blast (pun intended) and not only that.
By the way, customers can now get the phone for free when they sign up with Celcom Mobile Platinum Plus postpaid plan at RM188 monthly. They can also own the phone through Celcom’s affordable instalment plan, Celcom EasyPhone, from as low as RM54/month.
Maxis launches Malaysia’s first commercial NB-IoT
With all the IoT and 5G trial going on, Maxis has recently launched its first commercial Narrowband-Internet of Things (NB-IoT) service in Malaysia. The network is activated in selected areas which include Cyberjaya, Penang, Kuching, Putrajaya, Johor Bahru, and KLCC. Through this, they will be promoting solutions and development of the local ecosystem, like new data streams, enabling actionable insights by connecting simple devices such as sensors.
“There is an immense amount of opportunities for NB-IoT especially around big data analytics and in enabling real-life use cases. The launch will encourage the development of an ecosystem of partners, developers and customers that will offer even more opportunities for enterprises, to better manage and optimise their assets, their environment, their energy usage and the safety of their people, and to unlock the potential for the delivery of new services in the Malaysian market. This is a significant step for us as it sets the standards in the deployment of IoT solutions,” said Paul McManus, Head of Enterprise, Maxis.

Ramci & Cybersecurity Malaysia team up to fight identity theft
Lastly, RAM Credit Information Sdn Bhd (RAMCI) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CyberSecurity Malaysia to work together by launching a public awareness campaign called ‘STOP IDENTITY THEFT’. It will be an educational roadshow from now until 16 May 2019 and also at the same time, launched a new JagaMyID Plus which is a credit monitoring tool for individuals to protect their personal credits.
JagaMyID Plus is offered at a special 20% discounted price of RM 79.20 for a one-year plan inclusive SST. Moreover, they also offer a promo code JAGAMYID to unlock this special promotion. The introductory price is RM99.00 inclusive SST.
