With the announcement of the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile platform, the Xiaomi 12 series will be the first phone to debut with it. Besides that, OPPO has also confirmed that its upcoming flagship will feature the chipset in the first quarter of 2022.
Although the company didn't give away any names, it's very likely to be the OPPO Find X4 series as a continuation of the Find X3 series. It's also not known what the Find X4 will feature but the company could take advantage of any new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 features in terms of mobile gaming, AI, camera, 5G and others. Previously, OPPO integrated Color Vision Enhancement function for people with color deficiency in the Find X3 series with the SD 888 5G chipset.
We expect OPPO to implement more new Snapdragon chipsets into future mid-range and upper mid-range devices to cater to the spread of the 5G network. On that note, OPPO also said in its newsroom that it will continue to work with Qualcomm Technologies to provide better products and experiences for global users.
Besides OPPO, other Android brands such as Black Shark, Honor, iQOO, Motorola, Nubia, OnePlus, Realme, Redmi, SHARP, Sony Corporation, vivo, Xiaomi, and ZTE, are expected to use the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 by the end of 2021 (if available). Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
