OPPO exposes its own tri-fold device & could be launching commercially "soon"

It was only recently that Tecno showed off its Phantom Ultimate 2 tri-fold device on YouTube, alongside Huawei's Consumer Business Division CEO Richard Yu bringing his own in public. Well, it's now OPPO's turn, as confirmed by Product Manager Zhou Yibao on his Weibo account.

For some reason, the post that he shared on his page has been taken down but what comes online, stays online. Unsurprisingly, OPPO's tri-fold phone has two hinges but with a nearly bezel-less display. The cover back is said to be made out of faux leather and the device is running on ColorOS. A few widgets can also be seen on the left side of the display.

If you're curious about what Zhou said in his deleted post, he said OPPO has been working on tri-fold devices for a few years already with many concept designs. In addition, he also claimed that when the company finishes up a few touches, this OPPO tri-fold device is planned to be launched commercially.

Perhaps he jumped the gun too soon by announcing the company's plan to launch this tri-fold device, hence by taking down the post shortly. Anyway, 2025 could be the year of tri-fold devices but we have to wait and see. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
