That is a beautiful design

Redmi finally lifted the veil off their smartphone, showing both the back and front of their upcoming Snapdragon 855 device, the Redmi K20. It is now pretty much confirmed that the device will be completely notchless with super slim bezels and will also come with a 7th generation in-display fingerprint reader.

The Chinese sub-brand mentions that the 7th generation in-display fingerprint reader comes with a 3P lens which has 7.2μm ultra-large pixels. Its photosensitivity area is 100% higher, 30% more accurate than their previous gen in-display fingerprint scanners and the fingerprint scanning area is also 15% larger than before as well. A brand new DSP acceleration technology is no also present, enabling the device to unlock 10% faster than before with a 30% higher success rate under direct sunlight and cold temperatures.

For the design, the back of the Redmi K20 features a triple rear camera setup arranged vertically on the center of the device. The back is made of glass with a gradient colouring which starts from a dark black in the middle to a holographic looking maroon. The photo also shows the power button and volume buttons on the right side of the device.

According to leaks, both the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro may support fast charging of different variants. China’s 3C certification revealed that the Redmi K20 may support 18W fast charging whereas the Redmi K20 Pro may be launched with 27W fast charging. Due to that fact, it is speculated that the Redmi K20 may be released with the Snapdragon 730 and the Redmi K20 Pro with the Snapdragon 855. As far as the naming goes, it may be possible that the Redmi K20 may launch outside of China as the Xiaomi Mi 9T which is pretty disappointing as naming goes.
