With the recently launched Sony α7S II and α7R II, as well as the Cyber-shot™ RX100 IV and RX10 II Sony Electronics would like to share some useful tips for photographers like you to capture amazing pictures! It does not matter if you’re an amateur or professional photographer, but it’s a photographer’s job to always get the best out of it. Here are 5 useful tips to take full advantage of your camera’s capabilities!
- Check your Image Quality Settings ~ Do check your camera’s image size settings because the size affects the image’s quality, it’s not uncommon that JPEG is the default setting in most cameras to make sure that you can store as many images as possible.
- Adjust your Exposure Value (EV) Compensation ~ The light in the environment can be adjusted from bright to dark on your command by setting the EV Compensation.
- Flash EV Compensation ~ The Flash EV’s job to control the light’s intensity in the environment. Most cameras nowadays have a built-in flash, so utilize it to give your image a brighter light or dial it down to reduce its flare.
- Set the Metering Mode ~ Different metering modes (Multi-, Centre-, and Spot-metering) can determine your camera’s optimal exposure settings for different scenery mode.
- Play the focus magnifier/zoom ~ You can maximize your camera’s digital magnifier/zoom on a particular spot for sharp focusing with the LCD screen.
We hope these tips are helpful enough for you, and feel free to share this with your friends and family who are into photography. Most importantly, have fun!
