Samsung’s highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has been buzzing around the internet lately as the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. The most recent leak would be from leakster Evan Blass, @evleaks who claims that the handset will be released on the second half of September, which eliminates the possibility of an August release.

He also said according to “an individual briefed on the company’s plans”, have stated that the Note 8 will be Samsung’s most expensive phone thus far, retaining around €999 which is on the edge of almost RM4800. However don’t go falling off your seat just yet, because devices usually cost much more in Europe. We should be looking at a more stable translation which looks to be around $925, a rough Malaysian equivalent of RM4000.

That pricing is still off the charts for most of us, but is it justified? The Note 8 is said to focus less on top specs but instead offer more novel features such as a cool new S Pen with language translation capabilities and currency conversion functions. Another cool possible feature is that the phone will be fully DeX compatible.

As for the specs, the Note 8 may come with a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED QHD+ display and 6GB RAM and of course not to forget, a dual-camera setup at the rear. The device will also feature the flagship Exynos 8895 or the Snapdraon 835 and some might even say the Snapdragon 836. To top it off, the battery capacity has been adjusted to a mere 3300 mAh, perhaps to make space for the S Pen.

Remember though, rumours will be rumours so do take them with an open mind. No luck on the official and Malaysian release dates or pricings yet so we will just have to put on our patience pants and wait on.
