It wasn’t so long ago that we reported of the Samsung Galaxy S8+ was supposed to have a dual camera lens behind. Now it’s speculated that this prototype unit will eventually be the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 and could actually rival the iPhone 8 (or X).

According to our favourite Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities, he actually predicted that the Note 8 will indeed come with a pair of camera lens behind. Not only that, the dual camera module will be so strong (in performance) that it can beat the iPhone 7 Plus version, standing up on the same performance level with the iPhone 8. In fact, he even went on to say the feature will be “the most important upgrade” for Samsung.

So how will it be on par with the iPhone 8? Well the analyst said the Note 8 will feature a 12MP Dual Pixel sensor + 13MP camera acting as a telephoto lens, along with an OIS and a 3x optical zoom. Aside from that, rumours have it the phablet will equip a 6.4-inch OLED screen, Snapdragon 835 / Exynos 8895 processor, as well as a fingerprint sensor on the back.

It’s dully noted that the Galaxy S8 and S8+ have received overwhelming response globally, which exceeds Samsung’s expectations. This will surely get their confidence up from the unfortunate Note 7 fiasco. Stay tuned for more Samsung news at TechNave.com.
