Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 expected to retail in Europe for ~RM751

An increasing number of leaks on the upcoming Samsung product has been popping up in recent weeks. That's normal, as Samsung gears up for the Unpacked event on 11 August 2021. However, it looks like we're going to start seeing price leaks and the Galaxy Buds 2 is the first to be leaked.

According to WinFuture.de, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 will retail in Euro for 149.99 Euros (~RM751). That's the pricing before Europe's Value-Added Tax (VAT), which obviously doesn't apply in our region. On top of that, electronic devices tend to seem more expensive if you directly convert the Euro pricing to Ringgit Malaysia.

Of course, we do have taxes for electronics in Malaysia. But the Galaxy Buds 2 is more of a successor to the Galaxy Buds+, so we're expecting it to have a similar launch price of between RM599 to RM699. Price aside, the new model will allegedly offer active noise cancellation, ambient sound, and improved bass performance. If anything, its performance should be more on the level of the Galaxy Buds Pro (see review here).

But what are your thoughts on that? Will Samsung deliver a vastly improved product, or is this just a minor upgrade for those who don't have a pair of TWS earbuds yet? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news about this.
