Generative AI was huge last year and should continue flourishing in 2024. We first saw generative AI on platforms like DeepAI or ChatGPT. Now, AI features are also starting to appear on mobile devices. For instance, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series is expected to have two.

According to a leak, the Galaxy S24 series will be able to use Samsung's "Galaxy Eureka AI". The software will allow Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra to 'speak' foreign languages with Live Translate. From what we can tell, this is either a standalone Samsung app or a voice call feature for the new Galaxy phones. If you recall, the Live Translate feature was first hinted at in our Galaxy AI article.

The second AI feature is Generative Edit, which lets users move or remove objects in images. It can also fill up empty spaces in photos, but the feature requires a Samsung account and an Internet connection. In other words, this is likely a Cloud-powered AI feature. Besides Generative Edit, Samsung AI includes features Remaster, Object Eraser, AI Image Clipping, Clean Lens, and more. For more details, refer to our "What's coming for Samsung Galaxy AI? Part II" article.
