Samsung wants to focus on zoom experience for Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, limits maximum zoom to 50x

If you're hoping this means that the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will have the same 100x that the Galaxy S20 Ultra does, you might be disappointed. A new rumour has just popped up suggesting that Samsung may limit the top-end Galaxy Note 20 Ultra to only 50x zoom.

Earlier this month, it was rumoured that the Galaxy Note 20 Plus would have up to 50x zoom like the Galaxy S20 Plus. It seems now that 50x is going to be the maximum for the entire Note 20 series. According to Ice Universe, Samsung has cancelled plans for the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra to have 100x Space Zoom on its periscope camera. Instead, the company will be working on optimising the zoom experience for 50x.

It's not all bad news, however, as there's a lot to look forward to when it comes to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Specifically, it will come with a more powerful Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset, new camera functions, 120Hz display, and new S-Pen with new features. The display is also expected to be curved at the sides, based on live images leaked by Ice Universe.

Ice Universe has always been rather reliable when it comes to his leaks, but it's still unconfirmed so do take the rumour with a grain of salt. If this is true, what do you think about it? Is 100x too much anyway? Share your thoughts with us on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news.
