Stuck at home with plenty of time on your hands? Well, Steam is here to bail us out again. The inaugural Steam Game Festival was held last year during The Game Awards 2019 and gamers all over the world got the chance to play a variety of new demos and games. And it's coming back!
With gaming conventions like PAX East, GDC, and E3 all getting cancelled or switching to live-streaming, the Steam Game Festival presents an opportunity for us to try all the demos and games that were supposed to be showcased at those events. According to Geoff Keighley, producer of The Game Awards, there will be more than 40 new games available for you to play and they won't just be indie titles this time.
Surprise! @thegamefestival returns tomorrow to @Steam with 40+ new games you can play at home, which were originally set for GDC. This is the Spring edition of @thegamefestival pic.twitter.com/lD7LE509Ge

Keighley is calling this the 'spring edition' of The Game Awards, which suggests that there could be more Steam Game Festivals held in the future. If that's the case, gaming events may just lose their importance, as companies start relying more on online streams and game demo festivals like this.
This Steam Game Festival will begin on 19 March 2020 (1 am Malaysia time) and will last till 24 March 2020 (1 am Malaysia time). Will you be staying up late tonight to see what the festival has in store for you? Let us know what game or demo you are most looking forward to trying!
