Twitter Super Follows now available, allows monthly subscriptions from ~RM12

Twitter first announced that it was looking into subscriptions earlier this year. The company wanted to let Twitter users monetise their content and started beta testing Super Follows in June. Now, it seems that Twitter is done with testing.

Yesterday, Twitter officially rolled out Super Follows. This new feature allows Twitter users to earn monthly subscriptions from their followers. Followers get access to exclusive badges, content, and even selected deals or discounts. The preset monthly subscription packages are USD2.99 (~RM12), USD4.99 (~RM21), and USD9.99 (~RM42).

Basically, this is similar to becoming a member on Patreon or YouTube. But unlike those, the requirements are notably different. To be eligible for the Super Follows feature, your Twitter account needs to have at least 10k followers and have 25 postings or more in the last 30 days. You also have to be at least 18-years-old.

If you're interested, you can visit the FAQ page for more details. But with that said, is this feature really worth getting when compared to subscriptions on other platforms? Share your thoughts in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
