Google has been working on its next Chromecast replacement Android TV device for a while now. Some details appeared in June, but the company has been rather quiet since then. Now, there's finally some hints that the device could be launching soon, as they have been approved by the FCC.

A new interactive media streaming device (GZRNL) and wireless device (G9N9N) were found on the US FCC website (via 9to5Google). It's believed that the first device is the Android TV (codename Sabrina) that Google has been working on, while the other device is the remote control that comes with it. Also, it seems that the remote connects to the new Android TV dongle via Bluetooth.

The product label for the device is out and shows that it's made in Thailand

Not much else was revealed as detailed info and images of the devices are locked behind a confidentiality request to the FCC. However, previous leaks have confirmed that the remote will have the Voice Match feature and a programmable button. The Android TV itself is expected to have an Amlogic S905X2 chipset and 2GB of RAM.

If Google's new Android TV is just only getting approved by the FCC, it will probably be a few months before it's available in Malaysia, assuming that even happens.
