At the end of March, Disney+ Hotstar announced a new set of plans and this has forced Astro and Unifi TV to reevaluate their packages. Unifi said that we will have to wait until 8 April to know what will happen and here's the latest update.
According to Unifi, the company announced all Unifi TV customers who have subscribed to Disney+ Hotstar will be automatically upgraded to the Premium Plan. And just like Astro's announcement back then, there will be no extra costs charged for the customers so they can enjoy it until their a la carte or TV pack bundled with Disney+ Hotstar contract ends.
On the FAQ page, those who subscribe to Unifi TV's Ultimate Max Pack, Ultimate Plus Pack, and all the Ultimate Packs will be eligible to enjoy the bundled streaming apps. It is noted that after the Unifi Home contract ends starting on 24 April, the plan will be switched to Basic Plan with the same monthly subscription fee.
In case you missed it, below are the upcoming five new plans for Disney+ Hotstar:
- Annual Basic Plan at RM 214.90/ year;
- Annual Premium Plan at RM 289.90 /year;
- Monthly Basic Plan at RM 24.90 / month;
- Monthly Premium Plan at RM 39.90 /month; and
- Quarterly Premium Plan at RM 79.90 /quarter.
