Last week, we got the news that OPPO Malaysia would be launching a new OPPO Watch along with a green-coloured version of the Find X2 Pro. The smartwatch was first revealed way back in March with the Find X2 series but was not available in Malaysia till the recent announcement. Now, it's likely the model we'll get is the one with the ECG sensors.
According to OPPO (via GSMArena), the OPPO Watch with ECG will be available globally on 24 September 2020, or 25 September for Malaysia as previously announced. The company has confirmed that the device has a Class II medical certification from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). Allegedly, the OPPO Watch has also been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The OPPO Watch's main body comes with curved 3D glass, a rubber strap, and a metal frame. Since this is likely an upgraded variant of the model (without ECG) launched in July, it should come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage. There should also be a microphone, which you can use for Google Assistant and voice calls.
Well, it's launching this Friday so we'll find out the full details then. But what do you think about the OPPO Watch so far? Would you be interested in getting one? Do let us know in the comments below and remember to stay tuned to TechNave.com for the report on the launch later this week.
