Apart from making images disappear in the near future, it seems that the WhatsApp team is also working on making messages self-destruct. Not exactly a new feature, you already do it on your WhatsApp but it's more like testing a different expiration date.

This information was found on WABetaInfo's Twitter account, who is usually known for releasing reputable news on WhatsApp developments. From the tweet, they are now testing for messages to disappear after 24 hours. They also later retweeted it to avoid confusion as the feature already exist but after 7 days only, the team is currently testing different expiration dates.

In case you have forgotten, the disappearing messages feature will allow the user to see them for 7 days only as aforementioned. You can set this option by going into any group or individual chat room and look for "Disappearing messages". We don't know when the update will roll out but then again, it may not even see the light of the tunnel.

WhatsApp is sure busy with several new testing features. They recently pushed out WhatsApp desktop video and voice call, as well as muting videos before sharing. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
