X Owner made a U-turn: X (Twitter) gets its light mode back

Earlier today, we mentioned that Twitter will only have dark mode onwards. However, this does not last long as the X (formerly known as Twitter) owner changed his mind. This is what Elon Musk have to say:

“A lot of people have asked to keep light mode, so we will, but the default will be dark, and dim will be deleted.”

Currently, both light and dark modes are available on the platform. Interestingly, you can choose between two versions of dark modes. That includes a dim setting (dark grey) or lights out (pitch black, OLED). Earlier, Elon mentioned that dark mode is the way to go. While some internet users agree, many argued that the light mode is useful during daytime.

As a result, the CEO of X changed his mind. He said that the light mode will stay, and the dim mode will be scrapped. For those who have missed out on Twitter’s (X) recent drama, the social media platform is undergoing a major rebranding under Elon. This has caused many controversies including the official handle change, the logo change and the whole fiasco in San Francisco.
