On Monday, Xiaomi announced that its CEO Lei Jun will be holding a public speech on 11 August 2020. At the time, many people saw the possibility of a new phone being launched on that day itself. That has now been confirmed by Xiaomi in its latest Weibo post, which announced the coming of the Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition.

Originally believed to be the Mi 10 Pro Plus, the company has decided to name the device as Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition to celebrate the company's 10th anniversary. As you can probably tell, this is going to be a special edition, so expect to see some fancy design elements like ceramic or leather back. There's not much we can discern from the poster at the moment, but if what the poster shows us is the display then it may be a phone with an under-display camera.

Besides that, the phone should feature either the Snapdragon 865 or 865+ chipset, a 120Hz display, and 65W fast-charging. Interestingly enough, leaker Digital Chat Station had a TUV Rheinland cert for the device to show that the battery is supposed to be two 2250mAh batteries combining to a total of 4500mAh. Additionally, the phone should feature a large rear camera module that comes with up to 100x digital zoom.

Since Xiaomi is going all out for this special edition Mi 10, we can expect more reveals to appear each day. With that said, what do you think of this phone so far? Let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for further updates.
