Xiaomi Mi 11 series expected to launch globally soon

As 2020 came to a close, Xiaomi became the first company to launch a flagship smartphone featuring the Snapdragon 888 chipset. After launching the Mi 11, Xiaomi soon announced that the Mi 11 Pro would be unveiled February 2021. Now it seems that launch could be a global launch for both devices.

According to Gizmochina, Xiaomi has dropped a teaser on Weibo mentioning that the global launch for the Mi 11 series would be coming soon. Considering that the word 'series' was used, we're quite sure that this is referring to the launch of both the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro. Mind you, the word 'soon' is a bit vague, so we don't know if Xiaomi plans to have a launch during CES 2021 or will be holding it back for a while.

The Pro variant has a quad-camera setup

For your info, the Mi 11 comes with a 6.81-inch AMOLED screen (1440p, 120Hz), up to 12GB of RAM, and (likely) up to 512GB of internal storage. As for the Mi 11 Pro, previous rumours claim that it will have a larger display and higher fast-charging speed. It's also going to have a quad-camera setup at the back. On top of that, both devices will have an under-display fingerprint scanner and a heart-rate scanner (surprisingly).

Please note that we're only speculating when it comes to some of the specs for the Mi 11 Pro, so take it with a grain of salt. Honestly, we think the Mi 11 Pro needs to deliver much more to make it worth it. But what are your thoughts about that?
