A few weeks ago, it was rumoured that Xiaomi was ready to launch the Mi Pad 5 tablet. The new model is expected to sport a few improvements like a 120Hz display. But it seems that even before this model is out, Xiaomi has already begun working on a successor.

According to Digital Chat Station (via Gizmochina), Xiaomi is already drawing up plans for the Mi Pad 6 next year. The company's goal with the new model is to allegedly improve its cameras' capabilities. But this improvement is not in delivering better mobile photography performance. Instead, the company seems to be aiming to deliver more camera features.

But what kind of features would benefit tablet users? Well, tablets are mostly used for work or entertainment these days. Perhaps Xiaomi could give the Mi Pad 6's a more powerful front camera for video meetings. Another option is to add a ToF camera or AR lens at the back, which can be useful for certain types of apps or games.

Anyway, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 6 is probably still in the planning phase, so nothing is set in stone. For all we know, Xiaomi could decide to provide minor improvements to this year's Mi Pad 5. Having said that, what else do you think Xiaomi could do to make its tablets interesting? Share your thoughts in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
