Last month, it was rumoured that the next flagship device from Xiaomi could come with a 120W charger. At the time, a leaked video showed the actual charger. Reports indicate that the charger has recently been certified on China's 3C (China Compulsory Certificate), so it may be launching sooner than some may have expected.

According to GSMArena (via MySmartPrice), the certificate for a power adapter bearing model number MDY-12-ED should be the 120W Xiaomi charger that was rumoured. It should also mean that development of the charger is complete and Xiaomi can start mass-producing it. Of course, Xiaomi has yet to confirm which device will be using this charger. If it's for a 2020 device, it'll probably the Mi Mix 4.

It's also possible that the 120W charger won't be out this year. Earlier this week, Digital Chat Station claimed that gaming phones sporting the Snapdragon 875 chipset and fast-charging of over 100W could appear in 2021. This could mean that the 120W charger will be kept in reserve for a flagship device next year.

The above is just our speculation though and we won't know for sure until Xiaomi makes an official announcement. With that said, would you be interested in this charger when it's released? Let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news.
