Back in July 2021, it was rumoured that Apple could be working on a new iMac Pro that has an Apple M1 chip in it. We haven't heard much about it since then, but a reliable source has confirmed that it would indeed be using an Apple Silicon.

According to Mark Gurman (via Gizmochina), Apple plans to launch the iMac Pro 2022 with the M1 Pro and M1 Max chipsets. This suggests that there could be at least two variants of the new model, one with the M1 Pro and another for the M1 Max. Sources also claim that the new iMac Pro would follow the design of the 24-inch iMac launched last year.

Besides that, it's rumoured that the iMac Pro 2022 would come with a Mini-LED display that has a refresh rate of 120Hz. As for the size, the new model should also come with a 27-inch screen. Other features you can expect would include a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, a six-speaker system with Spatial Audio support, and Thunderbolt 4 support.

Of course, Apple hasn't revealed anything about the new iMac Pro, so take the rumours with a grain of salt. Having said that, the new model is expected to launch sometime in Q2 2022.
