The iPhone 15 series is in the spotlight again for the wrong reasons. This time, it seems the iPhone 15 Pro Max is having an OLED display burn-in issue. While not everyone is experiencing it, it's still not a good sign.

The burn-in issues were probably first reported on an Apple forum by an iPhone 15 Pro Max user about two weeks ago, who posted a photo of a keyboard layout ghost image on the lock screen. The news got widespread through X (formerly Twitter), showing more photos from other owners with different types of burn-ins. And according to a Reddit user, he managed to replace his iPhone 15 Pro Max at an Apple Genius Bar without any questions asked.

Having burn-in or image retention is a normal occurrence in smart TVs with OLED displays but it usually takes years for it to happen. Nowadays, brand manufacturers have found ways to minimize it over the years. So to hear the iPhone 15 Pro Max already showing signs makes it odd. Ghostly images tend to appear on the OLED display if the user leaves the screen content there for too long.

Previously, the iPhone 15 Pro models have experienced an overheating issue but it turns out that Instagram was the culprit all along. On top of that, some are experiencing slow WiFi connection with iOS 17.0.3, as well as crackling sound issues from the speakers.
